All is Revealed in the Bachelor’s Bedroom!

We have had so much interest about this bachelor’s bedroom and where we sourced its contents.  I have decided to do what interior designers never do, reveal my sources. Brace yourself there are no bargains, the brief was for something unique and very special.

The most controversial piece in the room must be the bed. How did we get it to float? Here’s how, by finding this clever manufacturer at iSalone in Milan. We added some lighting below and created a hovering bed.

Most people play safe with bedding and go for white. They are missing the perfect opportunity to put a bit of colour into the room which can be changed every week. Here is the perfect opportunity to be creative. I have always loved Missoni, the company dates back from the 50’s and their textile designs have become classics.

On the hunt for cool Barbarella look bedside lights. Penta glow suspended from the ceiling was the answer. Keeping it lush, the walls were lined in a ‘suede like’ wallpaper with bold geometric patterns. The majestic headboard was softened off by upholstering it in a satin type fabric which is remarkably good value and resistant to a beating.

Sadly the incumbent bachelor is no longer available, the bedroom must have played its role successfully.
