Higher & Higher
I do love visiting show homes in new developments and see how the marketing team sell their idea of living and who they are appealing to. I have spotted some inspired design but sadly it is in the minority. Many schemes are designed to appeal to everyone but sadly such compromise just offers disappointment.
Occasionally, I’ve thought that I’d like to have a go at a show home myself. Then as if by magic, the forward thinking developers Mount Anvil asked me to work on their new development called Dollar Bay. A beautiful tower designed by international award-winning Simpson Haugh & Partners which has clear views up South Dock right through the city to the West End.
The best view in Dollar bay is from the penthouse which is on four floors from the 28th to 32nd. It must be one of the most unique apartments in London and they invited me to work on it. With an open brief, here was the opportunity to go against the grain and create a show flat that could inspire.
It looks like we are not the only ones that are pleased with the apartment WhatHouse 2017 has given it a golden medal.
